The Historical ROOTS of JON JONES and African-Americans with a Special Invitation back to ISLAM

After UFC champion Jon Jones finished his fight and exclaimed “Alhamdulillah” — meaning all praise belongs to God — TheDeenShow teamed up with former professional fighter Ali Kedakov to send Jones a message of love and an invitation to explore the deep Islamic roots of African-American history. From Kunta Kinte to Malcolm X to Muhammad Ali, the path back to Islam is the path back to one’s own heritage.

Jon Jones Said Alhamdulillah — Here Is What It Means

When Jones was asked why he said it, his gym manager confirmed he did it “to support all the brothers in the world.” Ali Kedakov, a former Christian who found Islam after years of searching, connected this moment to the deeper question every person must ask: what is the purpose of life? He pointed out that Jesus himself demonstrated pure Islamic monotheism throughout the Bible — he prayed on his face like Muslims do (Matthew 26:39), he taught the Lord’s Prayer directed to God alone, he said “why do you call me good, there is none good but God,” and he declared “my God and your God.”

“In every point and aspect of his life, Jesus was proving that God is only one and you should worship Him. He never said worship me. The first commandment says God is only one — doesn’t that break the whole Trinity?” — Ali Kedakov

The African-American Connection to Islam

Ali Kedakov delivered a powerful message directly to Jon Jones: over 30 percent of the African Americans brought to the Americas on the Atlantic slave trade ships were Muslim. Kunta Kinte was calling upon Allah. Malcolm X returned to his roots and found Islam. Muhammad Ali refused his slave master’s name and declared himself a Muslim. These were not just fighters or activists — they were thinkers who opened their minds, did the research, and discovered that their ancestors were kings, queens, and rulers who practiced Islam long before the slave trade stripped them of their identity and heritage.

“Back in the days, the Black people were the rulers — there were kings and queens. They have a big, beautiful history. And it was all in Islam. But they brought you on the boats over here and just started your history from that point. Go back to your roots — that would be Islam.” — Ali Kedakov

An Invitation to Jon Jones and Everyone Searching

  • If Jesus came back today, he would recognize Muslims as his true followers — they grow beards like him, avoid pork like him, are circumcised like him, and their women dress modestly like his mother Mary
  • The Lord’s Prayer is strikingly similar to Surah Al-Fatiha, the opening chapter of the Quran — both direct all worship to God alone
  • The Bible itself says God is not a human, was never born, and cannot die — so the doctrine that God became a man contradicts Scripture’s own words
  • The word “jihad” means struggling against your own desires — Mike Tyson understood this when he became Muslim
  • If you are sincere, open the Quran, pray to God Almighty alone, and ask for guidance — He will guide you to the straight path
