Bigoted Jiu-Jitsu instructor Spreading Hate of Islam and Muslims

In this episode of The Deen Show, Eddie discusses a Judo match at the Olympics between an Egyptian and an Israeli athlete, where the Egyptian refused to shake hands after losing. Eddie reflects on the deeper reasons behind such actions, highlighting the importance of repelling evil with what is better, as mentioned in the Quran. He emphasizes the significance of good sportsmanship and the idea of striving to be a better human being in all situations. Furthermore, Eddie addresses the disturbing response from a bigoted Jiu-Jitsu instructor in the martial arts community who made derogatory and hateful comments about Islam and Muslims following the match. Eddie stresses the need to speak out against hate and promotes understanding, education, and dispelling misconceptions to foster positive interactions among people of diverse backgrounds.

Eddie uses this opportunity to advocate for looking for the good in situations, maintaining an optimistic outlook, and striving for positive outcomes even in the face of negativity. He encourages the individual who made hateful comments to become educated and informed, suggesting that good can result from challenging and addressing the small evils present in society. Eddie underscores the need to address misconceptions and promote understanding among different communities, exemplifying the values of respect, tolerance, and sportsmanship. By sharing these insights and confronting hate with a message of peace and unity, Eddie aims to correct misconceptions about Islam and Muslims, foster dialogue, and promote a more inclusive and harmonious society.

It all started at the 2016 Olympics in Rio when an Egyptian judoka Islam el-Shehaby refused to shake hands with an Israelian(he should have shaken hands watch the answer in the video). Not long after a firestorm erupted that led to a Martial Arts Jiu-Jitsu teacher coming out and insulting over 1.7 billion Muslims all over the world by making a hurtful derogatory islamophobic bigoted statements.

It gets even more interesting as the person who made this islamophobic bigoted statement had also competed against a Muslim in a Jiu-Jitsu Competition (we’ll be playing the match ) and forgot about his American Muslim hero Muhammad Ali.

In the video, we’ll be going over what he said and pray that he grows from this by realizing and acknowledging the wrong that he has done by setting a very bad example as a Martial Arts teacher (Should make a public apology)
and that the Martial Arts and Jiu-Jitsu community will also condemn his bigoted statements and set an example that we should use our platforms to promote peace, understanding, and love and not Hate.

Thank you all
