In this video a German who converted to Islam tells how did he came to Islam. The people in this video are speaking German...

Very Interesting Conversion

This remarkable conversion story comes from a young German man whose journey to Islam began not with a lecture or a book, but with a feeling — a deep, innate sense that there was something more to life than what his secular upbringing had offered. After the events of September 11th, he picked up a Quran out of curiosity, unable to believe that a religion could truly promote the violence the media was portraying. What he found inside its pages changed his life forever.

The Quran That Would Not Let Him Stop

Expecting to find justification for violence, this young man instead found himself unable to put the Quran down. He read for two hours straight, reaching page 70 or 80, experiencing goosebumps as the words penetrated his heart. After that initial reading, strange things began happening — vivid nightmares that would only stop when he recited passages from the Quran in his dreams. He kept the Quran by his bed, and with each passing day, the signs became clearer that Allah was calling him to the truth.

“I started reading and I couldn’t stop. I read for about two hours straight. I really got goosebumps. Then I started having dreams — nightmares that would only go away when I recited passages from the Quran.” — A convert describing the powerful, undeniable pull of Allah’s words.

A Gradual Transformation

His journey was not overnight. He began by fasting during Ramadan with his Muslim colleagues, then gradually stopped eating pork — not by force, but because it naturally became repulsive to him. Alcohol, which he barely consumed anyway, became something he could no longer tolerate. Each time he did something contrary to Islam, the nightmares would return, as if Allah was gently correcting his course. Eventually, he sought out a teacher, learned Arabic, took his Shahada, and began praying — completing a transformation that gave his life a purpose it had never had before.

“Whenever I did something wrong, the dreams would come that night. It felt like a correction. Then suddenly, the things I used to consume — pork, alcohol — became disgusting to me on their own. It just happened.” — A testimony of how Allah transforms the heart of the one He guides.

Lessons from This Journey

  • The Quran speaks to the heart in ways that transcend language, culture, and upbringing — its power to transform lives is a sign of its divine origin
  • Allah guides whom He wills through dreams, feelings, and natural aversions to what is harmful — trust these signs when they come
  • Islam is not for Arabs, Turks, or Moroccans alone — it is the universal truth for every human being, including young Europeans searching for meaning
  • Learning Arabic and finding a knowledgeable teacher are essential steps for every new Muslim who wants to practice their faith properly

This young man’s story proves that the Quran has a power that no human book possesses — the power to reach into the heart of someone who picks it up with nothing more than curiosity and transform their entire life. If you have ever questioned whether Islam is for you, pick up the Quran and start reading. You may find, as he did, that you simply cannot stop.
