Reacting To Akon “WE ARE GODS” | “Islam did NOT start with Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)”

When Akon declared “we are gods” and Logan Paul continues to push celebrity worship to millions of young people, it becomes urgent to address the spiritual crisis behind modern culture. Gabriel Al-Romani, a Romanian Muslim who recently visited his homeland where Andrew Tate’s acceptance of Islam is opening doors, joins the show to discuss everything from the danger of the “we are gods” mentality to why Islam did not start with Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and how the greatest scholars and warriors of this ummah were raised by women.

The “We Are Gods” Delusion

Akon’s claim that “we are gods who create life” represents the ultimate spiritual confusion of modern celebrity culture. Islam teaches the exact opposite: humans are servants of God, created with a purpose, and accountable for every action. The distinction between Creator and creation is the foundation of Islamic monotheism. When people worship themselves, their desires, or other human beings, they fall into the very trap that Shaytan set for humanity from the beginning. Islam calls people back to the recognition that only the One who created the heavens and earth deserves worship.

The problem that we’re missing is spirituality. No one grows up being fearful of God anymore. Islam did not start with Prophet Muhammad — please get it out of your head. Every prophet from Adam to Jesus called people to worship One God.

Andrew Tate’s Impact on Romania and Beyond

  • Gabriel confirms that Andrew Tate’s acceptance of Islam has opened doors for dawah in Romania and across Eastern Europe
  • Everything happens for a reason — Allah can guide a person through a chance meeting at a pool table in a masjid, just as He guides through grand events
  • Islam is attracting people of every nationality, color, and background, fulfilling its universal message that transcends ethnicity
  • The greatest value Islam gives women is not what modern feminism offers — the greatest scholars and warriors of the ummah were raised by women who embraced their God-given role

Men Must Be Men, Women Must Be Women

Gabriel addresses the confusion of modern gender ideology head-on: men have weaknesses and failures, but that does not justify women abandoning their God-given nature to take on male roles. Society’s push for women to become men is a failing system that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) already predicted. Islam honors women by recognizing their irreplaceable role in building civilization, raising leaders, and serving as the foundation of the family — not by telling them to imitate men in pursuit of a false equality that benefits no one.

The greatest scholars and warriors of this ummah have come from a woman. Look at the great value Allah has given women. Yet society is convincing them they are slaves who should be ashamed and become men — that is when confusion and destruction follow.
