Exposing Fake healers vs. Real Quran Ruqyah for paranormal activity Jinn Devil possession

Millions of people around the world suffer from unexplained ailments — chronic headaches, paralysis, anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances — that no medical professional can diagnose. In Islam, the Quran itself is recognized as a divine source of healing, and the practice of ruqyah (Quranic recitation for spiritual treatment) offers a legitimate, faith-based remedy for afflictions caused by Jinn possession, the evil eye, and black magic. But as demand for spiritual healing grows, so does the threat of fake healers who exploit vulnerable people, compromise their faith, and trap them in cycles of dependency.

How to Identify Fake Healers and Protect Your Faith

Sheikh Abu Mujahid, an experienced ruqyah practitioner (known as a Raqi) with over 15 years in the field, explains that recognizing a fraud is often straightforward if you know the warning signs. A fake healer will use tactics that have nothing to do with the Quran or the Sunnah — and everything to do with secret dealings with the Jinn. Here are the major red flags to watch for:

  • Asks for your mother’s name, date of birth, or a photograph — these details are used to communicate with Jinn, not for any Islamic purpose.
  • Gives you sealed papers or amulets (taweez) and tells you never to open them — inside you will find strange codes, numbers, and even names of Jinn rather than Quran.
  • Tells you information about your life without you sharing it — this knowledge comes from Jinn, not from Allah.
  • Asks for animals (pigeons, chickens), eggs, rice, lemons, or nails — these are materials for rituals of black magic and shirk (associating partners with Allah).
  • Claims healing in the name of anyone other than Allah — legitimate ruqyah is performed only with Bismillah and the words of God Almighty.

“If you go to a fake healer and you believe what he says, you become outside of Islam. If you go there just to watch, Allah will not accept your salah for 40 days. This is a hadith — this is a serious, serious matter.” — Sheikh Abu Mujahid

The Danger Behind Temporary Relief From Fake Practitioners

One of the most deceptive tricks of fraudulent healers is that their patients sometimes feel temporary improvement. Sheikh Abu Mujahid explains this is the result of a deal between the fake Raqi and the Jinn — the symptoms shift rather than disappear. A headache may become stomach pain; stomach pain may become lower back pain. The patient keeps returning, spending more money, and sinking deeper into a system built on kufr (disbelief). To become a fake Raqi in the first place, a person must commit acts that take them out of Islam entirely — such as desecrating the Quran — in exchange for the Jinn’s obedience.

Symptoms That May Indicate Jinn Possession, Evil Eye, or Black Magic

  • Persistent headaches, heaviness in the shoulders, or numbness with no medical cause
  • Heart palpitations, acid reflux, or stomach pain without a diagnosis
  • Increased anxiety and depression around sunset and sunrise
  • Recurring dreams of snakes, dogs, falling, being chased, or flying
  • Feeling a presence nearby, hearing footsteps, or seeing shadows with no source
  • Insomnia or inability to sleep on the right side
  • Unexplained crying, rashes, or constipation
  • Lights flickering, doors opening and closing by themselves

The Correct Way: Healing Through the Quran and Sunnah

“The Quran is the words of Allah. We recite Quran to help the people and Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala will help them. You have to believe that the Quran is a cure — if you do not believe, I cannot help you.” — Sheikh Abu Mujahid

Daily Protection Every Muslim Should Practice

  • Read the morning and evening adhkar (supplications) from Fortress of the Muslim daily
  • Say Bismillah before eating, sleeping, entering your home, and entering the bathroom
  • Recite Ayat al-Kursi after every salah to renew your spiritual protection
  • Pray all five daily prayers in congregation whenever possible
  • Avoid haram — sins break the shield of protection that dhikr and obedience build
  • If you find amulets or taweez on your body or in your home, recite Surah al-Falaq and Surah an-Nas over them and burn them

True healing in Islam comes only through sincere reliance on Allah, the recitation of the Quran, and following the Prophet’s Sunnah. There are no secret codes, no animal sacrifices, no hidden papers — only the clear, powerful words of God Almighty. If you or someone you know is struggling with unexplained afflictions, seek out a trustworthy Raqi who practices ruqyah according to the Quran and Sunnah, and above all, maintain your daily connection with Allah through prayer, dhikr, and righteous living. That is the fortress no Jinn, no evil eye, and no black magic can penetrate.
