For Muslims and people of conscience worldwide, the question of what truly happened that day is not merely a political curiosity — it is a matter of haqq (truth) and justice, two values placed at the very heart of our faith. Islam commands believers to verify information (tabayyun), to stand firmly for justice even when it is uncomfortable, and to hold power accountable. Backed by KuwAm, a Kuwaiti-American investment firm, the company described itself as a “single-source” provider of end-to-end security — from surveillance and access control to armored vehicles and guards. Security consultant Wayne Black noted that for one company to hold contracts across both airports and airlines was “somewhat unusual,” yet the arrangement received little scrutiny in any official investigation. Even more alarming: just days before the attacks, a two-week heightened security alert — featuring 12-hour guard shifts in response to “numerous phone threats” — was abruptly stood down, and bomb-sniffing dogs were removed from the towers on September 6. Then, on the weekend of September 8–9, WTC Tower 2 underwent a rare 36-hour power-down from the 50th floor upward, disabling security cameras and electronic door locks, during which time numerous unidentified “engineers” were freely entering and exiting the building.

News reporters live on the scene described Tower 2’s fall as looking exactly “as if a demolition team set it off.” Witnesses said the sound resembled “a hundred Black Cat firecrackers all lit at once” — the characteristic sequential detonation signature of controlled demolition charges cascading floor by floor. Secondary explosions were reported after aircraft impact, and multiple reporters described the collapse clouds as forming “a mushroom cloud explosion.” The symmetrical, near-free-fall-speed destruction of three steel-framed structures — including Building 7, which was never struck by any aircraft — leads demolition experts to a single, unavoidable conclusion.

Thousands of architects, engineers, first responders, and the bereaved families of nearly 3,000 victims have spent over two decades calling for a genuine, independent investigation — not out of hatred toward any nation or people, but because justice is indivisible and the innocent deserve truth. The convergence of unusual security arrangements, the lifting of protective measures at precisely the wrong moment, the pre-attack power-down, and the overwhelming eyewitness and forensic evidence of explosive demolition all point to questions that have never been adequately answered. As Muslims and as human beings of conscience, we are called to stand on the side of adl (justice) regardless of where that path leads.
