Every good deed in Islam carries a minimum reward of ten times its value with Allah. This incredible promise from the Creator demonstrates His boundless generosity and mercy toward His servants. When a Muslim performs a single act of righteousness, Allah multiplies that reward tenfold — and sometimes even more.
The Divine Multiplication of Good Deeds
Allah says in the Quran: “Whoever comes with a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit” (Quran 6:160). This means that every prayer, every act of charity, every kind word, and every moment of patience is magnified in its reward. Meanwhile, a bad deed is only recorded as one — a testament to Allah’s justice and mercy combined.
“Whoever comes with a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit, and whoever comes with an evil deed shall not be recompensed except the like thereof.” — Quran 6:160
Surah Al-Fatihah: The Greatest Chapter
The recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah featured in this reminder carries immense reward. Muslims recite it at least seventeen times daily in their obligatory prayers. It is a declaration of praise, a plea for guidance, and an affirmation that only Allah deserves worship and only He can provide true help.
- Every good deed is rewarded at least ten times over
- Bad deeds are recorded only once — showing Allah’s mercy
- Surah Al-Fatihah is recited in every unit of prayer
- During Ramadan and special occasions, rewards are multiplied even further
“Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. You alone do we worship, and You alone do we ask for help.”
