#Muhammad – Muslim Response

This powerful spoken word piece is a passionate Muslim response to the insults, mockery, and offensive depictions directed at Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Rather than responding with anger or violence, the poet answers with love, knowledge, and an eloquent defense of the man whose character, mercy, and legacy have shaped the lives of billions across human history.

Why Muslims Love the Prophet More Than Themselves

The poem traces the life and character of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) — from his role as the liberator of women’s rights in a society that buried daughters alive, to his unmatched humility, justice, and compassion. It recounts the incident at Ta’if, where the Prophet was pelted with stones until his shoes were soaked with blood, yet when the Angel Jibril offered to destroy the city, he refused, saying: “Perhaps their children will one day believe.” This single act of mercy encapsulates why Muslims hold him in such extraordinary regard.

“Heart broken and cold, bruised bones and blood-soaked shoes, yet he just moved on and prayed to his Lord: ‘Oh Lord, as long as You are pleased with me, it does not matter at all.’ Angel Gabriel descended and declared: ‘Give me one word and I will flip these mountains.’ He said: ‘No, just hold on — for the land may one day breed some sweet believing souls.'”

The Legacy That Cannot Be Erased

  • He was the freer of slaves — Bilal, the first black man to enter Islam, was ready to give up his life for the truth that Muhammad brought
  • He taught environmental stewardship 1,400 years before it became a movement: “Do not waste water even if you are at a running stream, and even in war, do not harm the plants and the trees”
  • He was ranked number one in Michael Hart’s “The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History” — by a non-Muslim historian
  • On the Day of Judgment, when every other prophet says “I am afraid,” Muhammad will prostrate before Allah and intercede for all of humanity — even for those with faith as small as a mustard seed

“Go ahead and do what you do best — let the haters keep hating. There is freedom of speech, but there is not freedom of hatred toward a man who cried every night for the sake of humanity, fearing the day when we are all brought forward to our Lord.”

This poem stands as a testament to the Muslim response: not with bombs or swords, but with truth, beauty, and an invitation to learn about the real Muhammad (peace be upon him) — the man whose mercy, justice, and love for all of humanity remain unmatched in the annals of history.
