The hit show Preachers of LA showcases pastors riding Bentleys, living in multi-million dollar mansions, and enjoying extravagant lifestyles funded by their congregations’ donations. Former Pastor Copage, who led a Church of Christ congregation in Chicago, exposes the hustle behind the Hollywood preacher phenomenon and explains why he left Christianity for Islam after witnessing firsthand how the teachings were twisted from their original message.
Would Jesus Approve of This?
Jesus, peace be upon him, loved simplicity and commanded giving to the poor. He never exploited his followers to fund a lavish lifestyle. Yet today’s mega-church pastors take money meant for the community and spend it on mansions and luxury cars. Former Pastor Copage witnessed how the scriptures were twisted and changed from their right places to justify doctrines that Jesus never taught, including the Trinity, which has no clear basis in his actual words.
“Jesus loved simplicity. He loved people to give to the poor. He never exploited the poor by taking what they give to use for ourselves. We would not consider Jesus as a Son of God. We consider him as a prophet, a messenger.” — Former Pastor Copage
What Jesus Actually Taught
- Jesus taught complete submission to God’s will, which is Islam; he never called people to worship himself
- The Lord’s Prayer says “Our Father who art in Heaven,” calling directly upon the Creator with no intermediary
- Jesus said “Why do you call me good? There is only one good, and that is God,” distinguishing himself from the Creator
- Over 200 denominations of Christianity exist today, each interpreting the Bible differently, proving the original message has been altered
A Cup of Coffee and Gratitude
“Do we really ponder and think about all the blessings the Creator has given us? What better way to thank Him than acknowledging Him directly and alone? That was the message of Jesus and every prophet.” — The Deen Show
If you are a Christian who senses something is not right about what you are being taught, trust that instinct. Study what Jesus actually said in the Bible, compare it with the Quran, and you will find remarkable consistency in the message of pure monotheism. The Creator is One, Jesus was His messenger, and the straight path has always been Islam: submission to the Creator, not the creation.
