What is death? Science has proposed over two hundred different theories, yet according to the Quran, the reality is far simpler and far more profound: death occurs when Allah removes the soul (ruh) from the body. The Inescapable Reality
Death does not discriminate. The politician who once moved in a cavalcade of limousines now lies in the ground as food for insects. The wealthy ruler whose subjects trembled before him is now dust. No fortress, no technology, no amount of power can delay death by a single moment beyond its appointed time. The Quran declares: “Every soul shall taste death.” And when that taste comes, nothing in this world will matter except the deeds you brought with you.
Every day, death calls out: “I am the home of insects, I am the home of loneliness, I am the home of worms, I am the home of darkness. Prepare yourself before you come to me.” How much longer are we going to remain heedless?
Where Will You Find Peace?
- People search for peace in music, in forbidden relationships, in alcohol, in gambling, in the attractions of this world, but they will never find it there
- The heart that has not recognized Allah, that does not beat with His love, is a restless heart, and no worldly pleasure can calm it
- The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that music causes hypocrisy to grow in the heart the way water causes a plant to grow
- In Paradise, Allah will command angels and the women of Jannah to produce music and singing of such beauty that no human has ever heard its like, a reward for those who avoided the haram in this life
Bring one person who is living in disobedience to Allah and can honestly claim that his heart is at peace. You will not find a single one. Travel the surface of the earth, go to the millionaires who earned their wealth through haram, and see if their hearts are at ease. You will not find one, because the Quran of Allah is not wrong.
Only in the obedience of Allah, only in falling down before Him in prayer, only in running back to Him in repentance will the restless heart find true peace. This is not a threat but a promise from the Creator who knows His creation better than they know themselves. How many more Ramadans are you guaranteed? How many more years will you chase the illusions of this world before recognizing that the only lasting satisfaction comes from the One who made you? Come back to your Lord before it is too late.
