Q&A Session for Non Muslims

When non-Muslims ask how we can prove that this world will end, that there is a Day of Judgment, and that the Quran truly comes from the Creator, Islam offers a powerful framework of evidence spanning logic, science, and scripture. With more than a thousand verses in the Quran speaking about signs in the natural world, and over 80% of them already confirmed by modern science, the remaining unverified portions deserve our trust based on a remarkable track record of accuracy.

The Logical Proof of the Quran

The Quran is not a book of science — it is a book of signs. When we verify what the Quran stated 1,400 years ago about the water cycle, embryology, geology, the separation of two types of water, and other natural phenomena, we find stunning accuracy. Not a single verse has been proven scientifically wrong. The portions that remain unverified — including descriptions of the Day of Judgment — fall into the 20% that science has not yet reached. When 80% has been proven 100% correct and 0% has been proven wrong, it is entirely logical to trust the remaining 20%.

“Do they not reflect upon the Quran? If it had been from anyone other than Allah, they would have found within it many contradictions.” — Quran 4:82

Why a Day of Judgment Must Exist

  • Justice demands it — The Quran says Allah is never unjust in the least degree; criminals like Hitler who incinerated six million people cannot receive proportional justice in this world alone
  • This life is a test — Allah says in Surah Al-Ankabut: “Do you think that just by saying ‘I believe,’ Allah will let you go and not test you?”
  • Different tests for different people — Wealth, poverty, health, and illness are all forms of divine testing; a difficult exam is graded leniently, while an easy one is graded strictly

Wealth and Poverty: Tests From Allah

“Your wealth and your children are but a test for you, and Allah has with Him a great reward.” — Quran 64:15

Many people assume the rich are blessed and the poor are cursed, but Islam teaches the opposite perspective. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said it is difficult for a rich person to enter Jannah, because wealth is among the hardest tests. A poor person who cannot reach the threshold for zakah receives full marks in that category without even being tested. A child born with a disability is sinless — that child may be a test for the parents, an opportunity for them to demonstrate patience and earn the highest levels of Paradise. Every difference in human circumstance is not evidence of divine injustice, but evidence of a comprehensive system of testing where each person is judged according to the opportunities and challenges Allah placed before them.
