Every human being carries a void in their heart that nothing in this world can fill — not wealth, not relationships, not fame, not even the most intense pleasures of the dunya. The Name Al-Wadud: The Loving and The Beloved
Among the most beautiful names of Allah is Al-Wadud — the Loving and the Beloved. What makes this name unique is that Allah is both the subject and the object of love: He is the One who loves, and He is the One who deserves to be loved. Unlike other divine attributes where Allah is only the giver (Ar-Rahman gives mercy, Al-Ghafoor gives forgiveness), Al-Wadud means He both gives love and is worthy of receiving it.

All of creation glorifies Allah — every tree, every bird, every angel. The skies themselves shake and creak because there is not a space of four fingers without an angel prostrating to Allah. The question for every human being is: where is your love for the One who created you, sustains you, and placed within your heart a space that only He can fill?
