The most important question any human being can ask is: Who is God? Not what does He look like, not where does He live, but who is He in His essence, His attributes, and His relationship to everything He has created? Islam provides the clearest, most rational, and most comprehensive answer to this question — an answer that satisfies both the heart and the mind without requiring a single contradiction or mental gymnastic.
The Attributes of the One True God
Allah is the Most Merciful, the Most Gracious, the King, the only Holy One, the Peace, the Giver of Safety, the Mighty, the Powerful, the Majestic. He is the only true Creator, the Maker of Shapes, the Most Forgiving, the Sustainer, the All-Knowing, the All-Hearing, the Most High, the Protector, the Most Wise, the Most Loving, the Giver of Life and Death, the Self-Existing, the truly Independent upon whom all creation depends. In Arabic we say Allah; in Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke, it is Alaha; in Hebrew, it is Eloah. The connection is unmistakable.
“He is the self-sufficient master who begets not nor was He begotten, to whom there is no equal or comparable, who has no wife, no child, no siblings. This is the One God — He loves you, He wants to guide you, and He will forgive all sins if you turn to Him.” — The essence of Islamic monotheism in its purest form.
Why This Matters More Than Anything Else
You are intelligent enough to know that this universe did not come by chance, that there is an Orchestrator sustaining and maintaining everything in existence. You know in your very nature — your Fitrah — that you will return to the Giver of Life and answer for everything you believed and everything you did. The signs are all around you and within you. The question is: will you accept them, or will you trade the eternal pleasure of Paradise for the fleeting enjoyment of this temporary world?
“Try not taking the air He has given you — see if you are truly independent. You are not. He is the only One truly independent, and we are all dependent on Him.” — A simple challenge that puts human arrogance into perspective.
The Invitation of Islam
- God is One — not three in one, not a man, not an idol, not any part of His creation. He is the Creator, and everything else is His creation
- Every messenger — Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all) — called to the worship of this One God alone
- Paradise is eternal, and this life is temporary — no pleasure of this world is worth trading for an everlasting abode of joy and peace
- All you need to do is ask the Creator sincerely for guidance, submit to Him on His terms, and strive to be the best human being you can be
We care for every human being as our brother and sister in humanity, and we want everyone to attain Paradise. Life is short, death is certain, and the party will eventually end. Turn to the One who created you before it is too late, submit to Him alone, and discover the peace, purpose, and contentment that only comes from knowing and worshiping the One true God.
