This Paradise, no one will enter it except the pure ones (free of shirk and sins).

Paradise is for the Pure – Very Emotional

Only the pure will enter Paradise. This is the profound truth at the heart of this deeply moving sermon, which explores how Allah in His infinite mercy and goodness purifies His servants through trials in this life, tests in the grave, accountability on the Day of Judgment, and ultimately through His own boundless forgiveness. The message is both sobering and overflowing with hope: no matter how heavy your sins, the door of Allah’s mercy is always open to the sincere.

How Allah Purifies His Servants

Allah, who is al-Tayyib (the Good, the Pure), will not allow anyone to enter Paradise carrying even an atom’s weight of spiritual filth. So He purifies His believing servants through multiple stages: through calamities and hardships in this world that erase sins, through the trial of the grave, through accountability on the Day of Gathering, and for some, through the purification of the Hellfire itself before they are admitted to eternal bliss.

On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will call His servant and say: “Did you not do such and such?” The servant will say: “Yes, O Lord.” And Allah will say: “I concealed them from you in this world, and I forgive them for you today. And I will turn your sins into good deeds.” That is His goodness, glory be to Him.

The Servant’s Journey to Forgiveness

  • Allah will question His servant about minor sins, concealing the major ones out of His goodness and mercy
  • After forgiving the servant, Allah will convert even the sins into good deeds, because He is al-Tayyib, the Good
  • The servant who was terrified of exposure will then go joyfully to the gathering saying: “Here, read my book!” having received it in the right hand
  • Allah even smiles at the servant who dares to hope that his major sins will be turned to good deeds

The servant says: “O my Lord, I still have sins.” And Allah smiles. Blessed is the one at whom Allah smiles, because He is Good. He says: “I concealed them in this world, and I forgive you today. Enter Paradise.”

This sermon is a call to pursue goodness in every dimension of life: in your words, your actions, your intentions, your inner state, and your outer conduct. Make your earnings good, your provisions good, your families good, your character good. And know that Allah, the Most Good and the Most Merciful, will never punish a servant who truly loves Him and strives sincerely to obey Him. The door of repentance is always open, and His mercy encompasses all things.
